1. \u201cThen our father [Satan] can again smile upon us with his true love and blessing\u201d.\u00a0 Oh, ok.\u00a0 Apparently this is some Candy Land version of Satanism where people (A) actually believe Satan is a real guy, and (B) think he LOVES them.\u00a0 I\u2019m not an expert, ok, but I don\u2019t know any group that thinks of Satan this way.\u00a0 Most people seem to think he\u2019s a real dude, or at least a concept of a dude, which represents evil.\u00a0 Almost anybody with any amount of occult knowledge understands that he is a god-form, like any other, and represents certain ideals or aspects which a person might want to use to their advantage.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

Most importantly, Satan represents freedom from seeking the authority and approval of anyone other than the Self, and about putting ones own needs in the forefront.\u00a0 It has very little to do with morality.\u00a0 Anyway, Satan is basically an amalgamation of a bunch of different beings representing fertility, creativity, illumination and self-actualization.<\/p>\n

2. \u201cRemember what happened to Bobby last year.\u201d<\/p>\n

What happened to Bobby last year, Johnny?\u00a0 Huh?\u00a0 WHAT HAPPENED TO BOBBY?!?\u00a0 If, as the previous panels suggest, he ate a poisoned, razor-blade laden apple, do you think maybe the other parents wouldn\u2019t let their children go trick-or-treating?\u00a0 \u201cOh, it was an isolated incident.\u00a0 Bobby bleeding out into his own mouth and dying in the street, that was like ONE kid.\u00a0 I think little Susie and Jeffery should be okay.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then again, they never say, do they\u00a0 Maybe Bobby simply found some children in Jack Chick\u2019s twisted little world that didn\u2019t have names ending in a \u201cy\u201d sound, and realized that not everybody in the vicinity was raised by whitebread middle class robots.<\/p>\n

3. Apparently Satan-Approved\u2122 candy causes kids to be able to think for themselves.\u00a0 Nah, that can\u2019t be it.\u00a0 What KID in his RIGHT MIND wouldn\u2019t want to go to church and also eat lima beans and watch the news instead of cartoons?<\/p>\n

Or MAYBE your kids are fucking DEEPLY TRAUMATIZED by the horrendous death of their friend and their own injuries, and have renounced the so-called loving God that allowed it to happen and you didn\u2019t spot it because a wooden 2×4 with carpet and a face glued to it would be a better parent then you.<\/p>\n

At least Brenda had the sense to suspect THE OBVIOUS.\u00a0 What are we being told here?\u00a0 That only WITCHES and EX-WITCHES have a clue about anything?\u00a0 <\/p>\n

4. Think we might not know what we\u2019re talking about?\u00a0 Read these other books, which we JUST HAPPEN TO PUBLISH.\u00a0 Don\u2019t bother reading anything not printed by Chick Publications.\u00a0 They could secretly be the devil\u2019s minions.\u00a0 Especially Catholics.<\/p>\n

5. Satan \u201cdecided\u201d?\u00a0 Wait, wait\u2026 I thought that only HUMANS were given free will.\u00a0 Doesn\u2019t that imply that anything Satan \u201cdecided\u201d was in fact by God\u2019s exact design and intent?\u00a0 And we\u2019re supposed to worship and trust this unbelievable asshole?<\/p>\n

6. Jesus created the universe, and then came to earth to destroy Satan\u2019s power, never minding the facts that the earth and Satan are both IN the universe, and therefore created by Jesus.\u00a0 I am sure that Satan\u2019s power was just an oversight, thus requiring his fateful visit to earth.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

7. See, at this point Brenda should have just dropped the act and straight up iced Becky and everybody else in that place.\u00a0 Satan would have loved that, don\u2019t you think?\u00a0 And I\u2019m sure the world-spanning Church of Satan could have covered it up.\u00a0 But instead, she just leaves the tale altogether, and \u2013 HOORAY JESUS!!\u00a0 – Christianity wins again.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
