Aleister Crowley was an exceptional magician, and his books remain the best written about practical magick. The Ordo Templi Orientis seemed a likely choice.

This is almost exactly what I picture when I picture everything I don’t like about Thelema, and (almost) everything I disagree with about Thelema.

Not to disregard my Thelemic friends. A few people don’t define a tradition, certainly one lodge doesn’t define a philosophy. But, it underscores a lot of my problems with the organization.
