Goals
To emulate the Star Ruby.
I enjoyed performing the Star Ruby as it always made me feel energized. I wanted to do something that had the same rhythm and format.
To add invocation into my daily practice.
I feel as though if I am continually banishing, I am washing myself away while never building up. This ritual is to invoke the spirit of the eschaton, that which will bring on the new aeon. I know that the Star Ruby was designed as a replacement for banishing, but like I said, it always made me feel more awake and full of energy.
To perform a ritual that corresponds with my own system of beliefs.
This is not a ritual suited to the aeon of the brat-prince Horus. In fact, it’s meant to get rid of his ass as soon as possible so we can restore some reason around here.
Ritual
As with all my rituals, this one is set to music, specifically, The Four Of Us Are Dying by Nine Inch Nails.
Begin the ritual by centering yourself with arms spread open hands open, angled towards the floor, facing east. Vibrate AVE! (hail). Bring your hands together with a clap and shout BABALON!
Draw in the energy of magick (aether or information in my own system). The energy is then refracted through the magician in the forms of love. Stand straight and point towards the ceiling with your index finger, resting your hand on your forehead. Vibrate PHILIA (brotherly or familial love, also intellectual love). Draw your hand down and make a fist, rest it on your chest fingers towards your body. Vibrate AGAPE (compassionate love). Draw your hand down between your legs. If you want to invoke male energy, again point with the index finger. To invoke female energy, fingers in a V pointed down. To invoke a combination of both leave your hand in a fist. Vibrate EROS (erotic love, passionate love).
Press your hands flat together in front of your chest, the typical sign of prayer, and intone EPIZETEO ESCHATON (I seek the eschaton).
Pick up your wand. I usually have mine tucked in my belt for easy access. Take the form of the magus. You know the one with Aleister Crowley standing behind his altar, his wand in his left hand and his other hand resting flat on his midsection. Center yourself.
Then step forward, arms outstretched. Then trace in front of you the Ankh of the Aeon.
While tracing the top 0, vibrate ALPHA (the beginning)
While tracing the middle bar, which is not a line but the leminscate symbol for infinity ∞, vibrate VIA (through)
While tracing the base (1), vibrate OMEGA (the end).
Essentially the beginning through the end.
Draw back again to the magus position, with one foot behind the other. Strike forth with your wand and shout ISIS! This is banishing the first aeon, the goddess-centric time.
Turn widdershins, arms outstretched. Repeat the Ankh. This time shout OSIRIS! to get rid of the aeon of the dead god.
Turn again and repeat, this time shout HORUS! to dispel the aeon of the self-centered greed of a child.
Turn again, repeat the Ankh, this time shout THOTH! but instead of striking forth to banish thrust your wand into the air to call forth the aeon of information, the time of unity.
Throw your wand aside and invoke the Beast, the creature that will help rend apart the old aeon. Place your hands to your head in a fist with your thumbs out, representing horns. Crowley called this form VIR.
Dance around the temple, thrusting your crotch and stamping your feet, crying ESCHATON!, ESCHATON!, ESCHATON! When you have reached an ecstatic state stop and throw your arms in the air shouting ESCHATON! one last time.
Close your eyes, see the Red Goddess in all her glory. Spread your arms and shout.
RIDE FORTH RED GODDESS – I AM THY LOVER AND THY STEED!
RIDE FORTH RED GODDESS – CHALICE IN THY RIGHT HAND, BANNER IN THY LEFT!
RIDE FORTH RED GODDESS – BRING ON THE NEW AEON!
Return to the center. Repeat the drawing down and end as you began.
