Dogma isn’t only restricted to the area of religion, here’s a clear example of when science becomes scientism…

Carl Sagan, Neil deGrasse Tyson, & Richard Dawkins, three hyperintellectuals whom are currently incredibly popular worldwide and comprise what I’d describe as the Scientism trinity. These three mega-brains possess overactive intellects effectively blinding them to the more incorporeal elements of reality; perhaps this is why there are so many fanboys of these three at the moment as narcissism has fast become the current trend of the Information Age.

If you’ve managed to blend idealism and realism within your psyche to some degree then you may understand what I have to say next: “How is it that hardly any major institution has looked at spirituality and concluded, “This is better than we thought! The Universe is much bigger than our scientists said, grander, more subtle, more elegant’? Instead they say, ‘No, no, no! My god is a little god, and I want him to stay that way.’” As observers, we are perpetually projecting our ideations upon the canvas of reality; in that way, we can only ever speak of our own mental processes, our own perceptions, and if you hold up the mirror to what Sagan said you’ll see that he was effectively speaking against the concept of God as he understood it, namely the angry judge in the sky crafted from the fears of small men story. I honor and respect what this individual has brought forth within the scientific community, but I do not respect nor honor the zeal these individuals have had in tarnishing the concept of God (i.e. Systems Theory for those who suffer from a semantic knee-jerk reaction to that particular word… yes I’m speaking to the anally-retentive scientistic transhumanist atheist nerd collective here) when it is clear they understand God as a well as religious fundamentalist does. I don’t think spirituality should replace science or vice-versa, but I do believe the two should be synergized as they both serve in illuminating each others concepts to new levels.

If you’ve understood what I said above you’ve probably realized just how narcissistic I am 😉
