Today is the first day of the Thelemic high holy days, marking the 109th anniversary of the transmission of the Book of the Law. I give my Thelemite friends shit, sometimes with good reason. But I will admit that Liber Al is the most influential magical text of the modern era. The writing in and of itself was a magical ritual of massive effect.

I hope everyone takes some time the next few days to read it if they have not, and if they have, reflect on how much the text goes beyond the man who wrote it.
