Thoth is a god of knowledge. Traditionally, he is the god of writing, sciences, the moon, and magic. He records the judgement of the dead when their heart is weighed by Anubis. Also called Djehutiy, he is the herald of Ra and peacemaker of the gods. He is an aspect of the gnostic-hermetic being called Hermes Trismigestus. To the Greeks he was analogous to Hermes, to the Romans Mercury. Personally, for me, he is the god of Information which is the foundation of the universe.
