People that have 5 billion decks make me angry for some reason. I guess I’m just mad that some of them treat their 50 decks like trash/boring toys when other people can’t even afford one deck.

This is petty. I applaud those who are able to afford their decks and purchase them willingly with their hard earned money.

I work hard for my money and I will buy as many decks as I damn well please.  And if I get bored with it? So what! I bought it so why the hell does it matter to you?

2 cents have been submitted. end rant.

I have–at last count–67 decks (not counting RPG decks like the D&D Deck of Many Things or the Pathfinder Harrowed Deck).

I only read regularly with a handful of them, and I use the rest of my decks for “special occasion” readings, or if a client feels particularly drawn to one certain deck. I collect them primarily for the art.

I have only paid full retail price for a few of them–the bulk of my collection is used. And I’ve given away several decks that I had extras of, to people with no decks.

I have TREMENDOUS admiration for those folks who have the skills to design/draw their own decks. I have TREMENDOUS admiration for those folks who read using a standard playing card deck.

I cannot fathom being actually angry at someone else for having more decks than me.

Some people have more decks because they drew them. Some people have more decks because they bartered or traded for them. Some people have more decks because they were given them. Some people have more decks because they bargain shop. Some people have more decks because they search Craig’s List or Half-Price Books and thus they’re able to score great deals on used decks.

Is this anonymous person angry at them, too? Or is s/he just looking at the people with a bunch of decks and assuming they’re rich?

They should not have asked anonymously. I would have given them a deck.
