dancingheron:

Just finished this piece for my little brother’s Christmas gift. Since he is a tradesman of sorts(carpentry, wood and ceramic artist), I thought I would make a little Egyptian god piece to give to him.

Ptah is the default god of craftsman and artisans up through the 18th dynasty. He resided in the city of Memphis and often had strong correlations with Osiris and Sekar. I merged the imagery of Sekar and Ptah for something that looked cool and would be something Egyptians did or would have done along with the anachronistic details I like to add. I enjoyed designing his welding mask merging this facial markings and his crown with feather plumbs.

I’d admit, I suppose I should have had his finger on the trigger of the torch.

pfft. He’s a God, he doesn’t need to hold the trigger down.

Looks like me lighting my incense burner.
