Magic is nothing more than energy raised with Intent- be that intent for a specific purpose, or just a “let’s see how things go”- to do, change, or manipulate something to a desired result; usually the result is obtained through the use of Witchcraft, but neither Witchcraft nor magic are reliant on or require one another.
There are several different theories on how magic may be raised and used. All of them are correct.
And that is YOUR definition of magic.
For me and others such as Thelemites, when I use the word, I use it how you use witchcraft.

A couple practices using Magic and Witchcraft interchangeably does not change the fact that, at it’s base, outside of these religions and practices, Magic and Witchcraft are separate and different things that may or may not depend on one another or be used in conjunction.

The thing is, “at it’s base” is arguable. You are coming from your system and practice and perception of all of this.
For me, at it’s base, they are equivalent. Through and through. To me, your perception of the “base” is wrong, just like your perception of my definitions is that it is “wrong”.
