“You should view the world as a conspiracy run by a very closely-knit group of nearly omnipotent people, and you should think of those people as yourself and your friends.”

what exactly is the singularity supposed to be? dumb question. is time going to just stop? then what.

For most, the Singularity is when artificial intelligence surpasses human intelligence. The consequences of this will create a future that is totally beyond human imagination. Machines more intelligent than humans will start designing machines that are more powerful than they are and processing power, which now increases exponentially, will explode.

For example. Charles Babbage once said that every single human conversation is recorded in the atmosphere. All you have to do is trace the movement of molecules back to the original sound. This is impossible, mostly because of the lack of computing power. The Singularity may change that.

One of the characteristics of the Aeon of Thoth is that the doors of the temple will be torn open. The secrets of the magicians shall be laid bare for all to see. The internet is the means for this to happen. Discovering ones ultimate True Will will become paramount over rushing into it without understanding. In fact, crudely put, the Law of the Aeon on Thoth is “Know thy True Will.”

Yes, I do believe we are on the cusp of a new aeon. The Singularity is here, though it may not be like many futurists have envisioned it.

I would argue against the idea that aeons last 2,000 years. I don’t believe they are tied to any astrological event. They are completely a thing of consciousness.

Crowley’s aeonic scheme does not show a 2,000 year cycle.

Let’s say that the Aeon of Isis, in which we lived in a mother based, matriarchal, hunter-gather society (of which there is some evidence for), began with the rise of Homo Sapiens Sapiens 65,0000 years ago.

Then, things switched we became an agricultural society, tied to the death and rebirth cycle. Which means the Aeon of Osiris began about 12,000 years ago.

That would mean the Aeon of Isis lasted about 53,000 years, and Osris 12,000 years. This demonstrates that, just like technology, the length of an aeon gets exponentially shorter as time progresses. I would argue that the Aeon of Horus started with the Enlightenment, not the writing of the Book of the Law. That would give us 300 years under Horus.

So I’m probably being a bit optimistic about shaking off the blood-soaked age of the petulant, warrior child anytime soon. But one can hope. And do as much magick as possible to make it happen.

Yes. Yes you can.

And the great thing about chaos magick is that if you decide later on you no longer want to be Catholic, that’s fine too.

Belief is just a tool in chaos magick. That’s not to belittle your faith. The stronger you believe the better your magick will be.

Some chaos magicians will say you need to have the ability to shift your belief at a moment’s notice. Fuck em. There’s no rule that says you can’t stick with one.

Ultimately, chaos magick is just a set of techniques that can be applied to almost any belief system.
