Neith – also Nit. Domestic Goddess of Egypt. Mother of Ra, Neith was born from the ancient
waters of creation. She is the guardian
of women, and protects the bonds of marriage.
She rules the war, hunting, and the art of weaving, including the
bandages and shrouds of the dead. The gods consulted her wisdom and judgment when settling disputes. Neith
