Artemis by Adrienne Rozzi // POISON APPLE PRINTSHOP
Handmade 3-color screenprint on black speckled paper, Limited edition of 18.

Artemis, greek goddess of the hunt, wilderness, and wild animals, rides her familiar through the deep forest. She is a warrior acting as protector of the woods and all life that dwells within it’s green embrace. In this drawing, Artemis also represents the goddess and witch in all her strength and confidence. The goat is an allusion to the Baphomet, a goat-headed diety with roots in Pagan history and thereafter in occult history. The Baphomet is a symbol of complete balance (dark and light, male and female) as well as ritual magic and witchcraft. Many believe the Baphomet represents a version of the horned-god who was a consort of the Goddess. Overall, ‘Artemis’ represents the union of the goddess and horned-god as well as the strong relationship between magick folk and nature.

Mandragora Pentacle WIP.

My White Mandrake has a tendency to grow it’s leaves in sets of five. When viewing this from above during a watering I got the urge to try and render it out into an image. As I sketched I realized, you know…. that’d make a pretty fancy peyton/pentacle.

This blog is about…

Been a long time since I’ve written something personal here.
I know many people like to post whatever they want to their tumblr, and more
power to them. Me, I enjoy the freedom a themed blog gives me. It gives me
freedom from being an asshole, and freedom to enjoy tumblr more. Whenever
someone posts something on tumblr I disagree with, and I’m tempted to reply
like some kind of facebook douche, I just remember that’s not what this blog is
about.

What is this blog about? Essentially, it’s still about
magick and change, but it has evolved over time. Now I like to focus on
representations of magical systems. I am always in awe of them even if I don’t
use a specific system for my own magick. Two, I like to post devotions to my
principle deities, Thoth and Babalon. They always inspire me. Third, I like to
post art that expands consciousness and has magical subtext.

I also have a few political posts now and again, mostly
those that exemplify the process of change.

Thank you for following. Thank you for making this outlet
more enjoyable. Thank you for posting and letting me reblog your fantastic
insights.

Always feel free to send asks and fanmail.

Praise Thoth!

Ave Babalon!
