Back against the wall Banishing

animapurasit:

I think everybody who’s into Magic(k) deserves a few experiences that are “movie-like.” One of my first was my first Legba possession. The next one came a few weeks later when Andrieh Vitimus invited me to his house for a day of marathon magic(k). I was told ahead of time to work on a quick, effective banishing technique. I decided to go with “APO PANTOS KAKODAIMONOS” from Crowley’s Star Ruby ritual. I’ll explain my reasons for using this, and only this, in due course.

I arrived around noon and met Vitimus’ roommate. We hung out and bullshitted for a bit, and then we went into the basement.  I was told, in a joking manner, “This is your first time at Fight Club, so you have to fight.” It was explained that I was going to be involved in alot of ritual work, and that I had to be able to banish quickly, and well.

I’d always thought of banishing as a way to balance and center, get in the right frame of mind, create a working space, etc. You know, th typical stuff you read in books. I was not really prepared for what was about to happen. I was told that a demon was going to be evoked into a triangle on the floor in front of me, and my job was to make it go away in a timely manner.

So I stood against the wall, breathing deeply and mentally preparing myself, while these two guys performed a goetic-like evocation ritual about 3 feet in front of me. When they were done they told me “ok, it’s here.” I saw nothing, but I focused on the triangle and shouted the short incantation. That was about the time a large chaos star banner flew off the wall on the other side of the room. Everybody kind of laughed, and said “It’s still here”. I repeated my performance, and began hearing A LOT of noise coming from outside….people yelling and stuff. “That’s to distract you. Focus. Ignore it.” I repeated my Banishing again, and again. After some time I thought to myself “I cant do this”. One of the other guys said “Yes you can”, as if he’d heard my thoughts. I gave it one more go, from the heart, and they said it was gone.

There’ll be more about Banishing later.

STATEMENT OV INTENT

Thee Temple ov Psychick Youth exists to promote a system ov functional, demystified magick, utilising both pagan and modern techniques. It is a process ov individual and collective experimentation and research with no finite answers, dogmas or unchallengeable truths. It is for each to discover his or her own understanding ov thee questions that suggest themselves, and through that voyage ov discovery to find their personal and true identity, thee True Will.

Thee Temple was formed as an organization of Individuals dedicated to updating and de-mystifying religious thought, & also dedicated to creating a world where Individuals can be free to express themselves by whatever means they wish to. We wish to break Control at all levels. We experiment with whatever methods we can utilize to accomplish these goals – magick, technology, poetry, musick, whatever!

As first steps towards change, we attempt to cultivate an awareness ov thee consequences ov our thoughts and actions, and to direct our energies in constructive directions. All this is done on thee understanding that our thoughts and behaviour form thee interface between our lives and thee lives ov others, and their repercussions are therefore endlessly returning.

Awareness is consequently a requirement for our personal and collective survival and evolution. Still, we recognise that awareness itself is dependent on information, communication, and personal commitment. Our work is subsequently practical, exchanging models and methods we have found useful to ourselves. Thus we do not dictate, but rather focus on expanding thee available possibilities through thee cross-fertilisation ov suggestions, successes, and failures. And for us this is a full-time commitment, a continual process ov being, an endless myriad ov becomings.

Neith – also Nit. Domestic Goddess of Egypt.  Mother of Ra, Neith was born from the ancient
waters of creation.  She is the guardian
of women, and protects the bonds of marriage.
She rules the war, hunting, and the art of weaving, including the
bandages and shrouds of the dead.  The gods consulted her wisdom and judgment when settling disputes. Neith

Mondeken toe
means keep your mouth shut! The fool’s cap, the bells, the donkey ears and the cock’s head are symbols of the fool and in fact professional fools at the time would use these as part of their costume. The puppet figure shown emerging from the top of the stick represents a marotte which was used by fools a bit like ventriloquists use a dummy. And on the forehead appears the stone of folly.
