Prophecy and prescience–How can they be put to the test in the face of unanswered questions? Consider: How much is actual prediction … and how much is the prophet shaping the future to fit the prophecy? What are the harmonics inherent in the act of prophecy? Does the prophet see the future or does he see a line of weakness, a fault or cleavage that he may shatter with words or decisions as a diamond-cutter shatters his gem with a blow of the knife?

Tarot Out

It’s midnight and old Frater T needs his beauty sleep. If you ask for a read later, I might get to it sometime this week. Of course, anyone who donates will get their reading tomorrow night.

Magic Bubbles

beewitch:

Recently I bought a $1 bubble wand from the craft store. I told myself I could give it to my nieces, but once I got it home and tried it a few times, I knew I was most likely going to keep it for myself. Though I am a 31 year old woman, even simple little things like bubbles can bring me way more joy then they should for a woman my age ^_^;

But it was as I was twirling around early today with my bubble wand, being surrounded by my beautiful round friends, that I thought of all the magical implications possible.

Though I don’t create sacred spaces for my own craft, it’s a good way to make a barrier for someone unable to use candles, smoke, or have witchy tools. I mean… who would suspect a bubble wand?

For me, I can’t imagine a better way to raise energy! Bubbles bring me joy and delight, and if my spell needs an extra little kick of energy, I think bubbles may just bring that for my work.

Also… cleansing. Bubbles usually mean soap. And as said above, not everyone can do smoke cleansing, or have herbs to work with. I think a little Bubble Work would be perfect, especially if you move the wand, or blow the bubbles with the focused purpose of cleansing (or protecting).

Anyway…. Just some thoughts I had while playing with my bubble wand. Feel free to share, or add on!

That’s some hardcore chaos magick right there. I’m gonna break some oaths here, shh…

At one of my IOT temple meetings we did a ritual with hula hoops. The ritual creator called them Boo-Hoops, to drive your boo-hoos away. It was the best fucking ritual of the weekend.

So yeah, bubble wands are a bad ass idea.

Legit Question for those who do divination

resonance-of-libra:

ofbutterfliesandlions:

Is it wrong [like, not good/proper, not like bad/evil] to do divination readings on/for others to distract yourself from your own icky feelings?

Because my ADHD kind of needs a distraction when I get anxious or other bad feels, a distraction that I can just throw myself into and divination is one of those few subjects in which I can do that.

As far as I know, the readings have been accurate regardless [of the few that I got responses for], but I’m not sure if it’d count as, well, not necessarily a Wrong Way to do Tarot/Divination/etc, but also like. not the right intent either???

idk if I’m just worrying about something I don’t need to tbh.

tagging people for input bc I don’t know too many divinatory readers: @shelby-melissa , @hellboundwitch , @bibliophilicwitch , @grimoire-of-geekery @loganscove and anyone else who wishes to answer. I would love to hear others’ inputs

Tbh what I find, ALWAYS when I do readings and not just when I have something on my mind, is that each individual reading I do has its specific message for the querent – but then, when I look at the overarching themes of the readings, there’s often a message there aimed at me.

I don’t feel like it’s a projection thing, as feedback doesn’t point that way. What I think it is, is that I draw people in who need that lesson too, you know?

So no. I don’t think you’re divining wrong. As long as you feel like you’re good to go, why not?

“You know, before I got married Emily used to come by and help me clean out my apartment. Well, I asked her: “How come you’re so eager to help clean my place when your place is just as bad?” She said,“Because cleaning up your place helps me to forget what a mess I’ve made of mine. And when I sweep my floor, all I’ve done is sweep my floor. But when I help you clean up your place, I am helping you.” The way I lived back then, sometimes the mess was too much for both of us but it sure was nice to have the company.”

Magic IS

teriel:

blutheorist:

That’s it. It exists. It is used by the will and intent of the practitioner. It is not good or evil. It is not this or that. It isn’t just old spells and “ancient” ideas, or actually ancient ideas.

Magic works for sigils, for emojis, for spell bottles and body painting and sand art and fire spells. Magic is about the person using the magic, and how they use it is no lesser if it is modern techno magic or if it’s blood magic. It’s about the person using it, their intent and will and what they give to activating it.
