You may have noticed that I have not been following twitter. In fact, the only thing I post on twitter comes straight from my tumblr feed. I’ve met a few really cool people on twitter. Especially @friendlydemon, @chickgonebad, @frater_puck, @mjamesblood, @catvincent, and folks I am forgetting to mention.
When I first heard about twitter, I thought to myself, “You take the most limitless form of communication and make it so you can only post 140 characters? That’s fucking stupid.”
But not being the kind of person that just writes things off, I tried it. I honestly tried it. I enjoyed it at times. I appreciated the way it parsed information. I marveled at it’s ability to track trends. But it still failed to be the way I wished to communicate. I can’t make an intelligent comment in 140 characters or less.
So all you folks on twitter, I’ll miss you. I really hope you some on over to tumblr. I know some of you already have. Its so much better over here. If I want to post a picture, video, or link, I post it directly. If I want to write something long or short, doesn’t matter. I hope you give it a try.
