Magick Working Journal

Dedicated permanent circle in my temple today.
Magick Working Journal

The paint was dry enough to take the tape off, I’m pretty satisfied with the results. There’s some bleed around the edges, however, so I probably will give it a black outline later. Cleaned out the temple some and I am now ready to dedicate it tomorrow.
Some good music on tumblr tonight. Different from what I usually see. Sometimes I think I must be a bad pagan for not liking death metal.
I’m fairly familiar with formal magick books like the Lemegeton and the like but what other books would you suggest? What about books that would be a good introduction to Chaos Magic?
The first book everyone will tell you to read is Liber Null and Psychonaut by Peter J. Carroll. It lives up to the hype. If you want a pdf copy let me know and I may know where you can find one. With Miskatonic Library recently having their tumblr account closed for distributing copy-written books, I’m not taking the chance of posting it here.
Most people leave you hanging after that. The second book I recommend you read is Oven Ready Chaos by Phil Hine. He gives that one away here: www.philhine.org.uk/writings/pdfs/orchaos.pdf
Then you’re ready for Liber Kaos, Psybermagick, The Apophneion, and The Octavo by PJC and Prime Chaos by Phil Hine.
One resource that has been a great inspiration to me is not a book but a speech given by Peter J. Carroll called General Considerations on the Philosophy and Practice of Magick. You can find that here: https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0Bx9jMDq9aWMIOWI0ZTA4NzktODgxYS00NDAxLWJkNDQtNDA1NmI4MzYyY2M2&authkey=CLLBteoF&hl=en_US&authkey=CLLBteoF
On the Occasion of One Aleister Crowley’s Birthday
Dear Thelemite Friends,
I love you people. I mean that sincerely. You are a groovy bunch of folks who know how to be intellectual and throw a party. I am asking in all sincerity, why do you follow this shit head?
I am told I need to separate the work from the man. Someone should have told him that. I quote:
“The First Gesture: The Oath of the Enchantment, which is called the Elevenfold Seal.
The Animadversion Towards the Aeon
Let the Magician, robed and armed as he may deem to be fit, turn his face towards Boleskine that is the House of The Beast 666.”
What the fuck? I am supposed to face towards this self-important prick’s house? This is his work, not his personal life I’m on about. Seriously, can someone explain to me why this is magick worth pursuing? I’m waiting.
