When I do tarot readings I first prepare
my altar, then I pull three cards from a tarot deck, and last I pull a card
from the Portals of Chaos.

My taper candles over by my magical ancestors had burnt
down, so I reached over and grabbed a pair I had sitting by my Thoth statue. As
I took the candles from Thoth, I said to him, “Don’t worry man, I’ll make it up
to you. This year I’ll take you to Babalon Rising.” Every year
for Babalon Rising Festival we bring things to put on our group altar. This year I was
planning on bringing Thoth.

So I pull three cards and I see the swords at the end
and I get a bit concerned. Then a voice in my head says, “This reading needs
more Thoth.” So I reach over again and grab my Mardi Gras beads from the Krewe
of Thoth, and place them in front of me.

Then I pick up my Portals of Chaos cards and start to
shuffle. I think to myself, “I bet I pull the Thoth card.”

I pull the card.

Blam! Sure as shit, the mighty Djhuety! My main man Thoth!

Can I get a praise Thoth!
